DESCRIPTION:
Kamp
Klamath is between Eureka and Crescent City, and offers
"Serenity and Comfort in the Heart of the Redwoods".
The park is located on the "Quiet Shore" of the
Klamath River, surrounded by the Redwoods National and State Parks.
With 33 acres of secluded woodlands, meadows and riverfront, the Kamp
offers the splendor and beauty of a natural rain forest with hundreds
of species of birds, mammals, fish, trees and wild flowers. Kamp
Klamath is the closest campground to the mouth of the Klamath
River and the Pacific Ocean, offering marine, riparian and forest
environs. Area attractions include the Redwood National Park, Trees
of Mystery, Tour thru Tree, Fern Canyon, Ocean World and Klamath Jet
Boats. Shopping and restaurants are closeby.
AMENITIES: Klamath River, freshwater fishing, well
stocked convenience store, fishing tackle (rental rods available),
breakfast bar, restrooms and showers, internet access, public phone,
dump station, grassy sites (some shaded), Croquet, Volley Ball, Horseshoes,
Bocce Ball, Goofy Golf and Disc Golf, Saturday night Bon Fire, salmon
BBQ, and "Join-in-Jamb", pets welcome, tenting.
DIRECTIONS:
From north or south, Exit #768 off Highway 101, and go left
at the stop sign. The campground is 1 and 9/10 mile on the right.
